Adri Galler Lastra
I met Adri in about 1992. She was in a band with a friend, Joe Yanovitch, who I played in another band with. She recruited me to play with Afredo Mojica Sr., the maestro. This led to me playing with other Latin groups, and thus a huge part of my life started with meeting Adri. She in her own right is a hell of a bass player and it was always a pleasure to play with her.
More recently, Heather McKay (guitarist, and also someone Adri introduced to the maestro and who was in that band), told us where to find Adri when we were visiting Puerto Rico. Since that time, for some years, we've seen her there, stayed with her - she's such a great friend to me and Lisa. We have walked the dogs at her shelter:
We adopted our dog Domino from there. This beautiful film tells her story. I don't see a need to download it and host it here, if that's even possible, as it should be fine to see it on WETA.
